Another race finished. And another rush of points for a certain orange wearing driver.

With Verstappen taking an unexpected pole on Saturday and Antonelli starting on  3, everyone was excited for the start.

Verstappen had a good start and thought himself in the lead when his wheel locked under breaking and he lost almost his leading position to Lando Norris, who then went wide and not only lost the battle but also found himself on p6. Antonelli, also with a good start charged ahead onto second place, followed closely by Piastri who overtook him in lap 5.

On lap 2 however the drivers already faced their first safety car as Doohan crashed out and had to retire his car. A tragic end for his last race with alpine.

Norris, who was quite unhappy with the race‘s start overtook one driver after another, charging past Russell in lap 7 and past Antonelli in lap 9.

One lap later one could witness the start of the fight for the leading position. Piastri and Verstappen battled each other harshly but fairly for four laps until Piastri overtook him in lap 14. In the following lap Norris already had his car close to Verstappen and battled him until he overtook him in lap 17.

He then proceeded to give the position back to Verstappen and then overtook him anew in lap 18.

The rest of the race was dominated by smaller fights between drivers while Piastri and Norris charged ahead. However in lap 29 Oliver Bearman faced problems with his power unit and had to retire his car, causing another virtual safety car and a whole lot of „box, box“ calls.

Four laps later Bortoleto caused another virtual safety car and had to retire his car, making him the third driver to retire that day. Another 4 laps later Lawson retired as well.

Oscar Piastri took another victory for himself, followed by Norris in p2. McLaren keep building up their advantage in the constructors championship. The McLaren duo was followed by Russel in 3 and Verstappen in p4. Albon with the Williams placed in p5, Antonelli in p6, followed by the two Ferraris, Leclerc in 7 and Hamilton in 8. Carlos Sainz with the second Williams placed himself on p9 and Tsunoda secured p10, despite of a 5s penalty that left him with a lead of 0.017s to Hadjar behind him.
